Once enabled, CPA lead times have to be setup (based on initial risk assessment risk level). Once setup, when SM assigns DH to Issues, 3 CPAs will be automatically created and assigned to DH ("Short Term CPA", "Long Term CPA", "Quality Control CPA"). Now you can have multiple committees, such as Safety Committee, Fatigue Risk Management Committee, etc. When you flag an issue for committee review (when ready to close an issue), you can auto-generate meeting agendas for this committee using Meeting Manager.

If you find that CPAs suggested by users during issue reporting are not useful, you have "Do NOT covert user suggestions to CPA" setting in the "Report Issue" module. If enabled, it will do the following: 

  • Will not create CPA from user suggested action
  • Will increase "suggested action" text box character limit to 1000
  • Will merge "suggested action" text box text with Issue Description

Adding the option for better transparency in SMS Pro to allow all employees to view all closed reports in Issue Manager.

Q: What if I give SMSUsers access to "View Own Division" or "View All Divisions"?
A: This setting only affects SMSUsers who do not belong to any other "SMS"-prefixed roles (e.g. SMSInvestigations, SMSDepartmentHeads, etc.). These users can only view CLOSED issues for their Own or All divisions (based on the setting selected). SMSUsers can always view their own issues.
